Pistons’ Willie Reed suspended 6 games for domestic violence incident

Center Willie Reed, who was recently acquired by the Pistons in a blockbuster trade along with Blake Griffin and Brice Johnson, has been suspended for six games for a “domestic violence incident” that occurred Aug. 5 in Miami, the league announced Tuesday.

Reed’s wife declined to press charges for the incident, saying it was “blown out of proportion.” However, police did arrive at the scene and took down a detailed account of what happened.

Warriors: No, the defending champs didn’t make any major moves. But the good news is that the Rockets didn’t, either. Nor did the Spurs, or Timberwolves. Most significant, the Thunder, which had been in talks to find an upgrade with Andre Roberson out, made no big moves, either. That means the Warriors are set up to coast through the West again.

The 2018 NBA Draft: There were ample productive players available on Thursday for first-round picks, but only two first-rounders were moved ahead of the deadline — the Pistons’ pick to the Clippers in the Griffin trade and the Cavaliers’ pick to the Lakers. Teams are high on this year’s draft, and on the prospect of having players on cheap four-year rookie deals. For a team like Atlanta, with three first-round picks, there is a lot of value in the coming draft.

At 6-8, Jordan would be taller than more than half the Cavaliers’ roster. His promise to average 2-1-5 would not even be the worst stat line on the team (shoutout to Ante Zizic). Plus, having a player with the last name “Jordan” on the team would help take pressure off LeBron.

It’s up to general manager Koby Altman to decide if signing a tall singer with almost no competitive basketball experience is a good idea, but considering how the Cavs’ season is going, a veteran-minimum contract certainly wouldn’t hurt their title chances.

It advanced her argument greatly to tell the world that LeBron, that guy who had the nerve to disparage the president, was a high-school dropout who lucked out and got rich anyway and ought to be grateful he’s not being forced to go back and do a Billy Madison before he can even show his face in Cheap Bruins Jerseys public again. She apparently won’t ever face consequences for slandering him in front of a national Cheap Baseball Jerseys China prime-time cable audience on a network that has the term “news” in its name.

But for her intended audience, claiming LeBron didn’t even get through high school gained her a lot of cache.
